Make and her mother are, and have been, running for their life. Constantly. The chasers never give up and seem to have sleeper cells everywhere. There is also a group of hackers who play a very dangerous car chase game like a video game. But, their game is real. And, everyone in it must have a lot of money because new cars are involved, as well as family payoffs if a player dies during the high speed game.I usually don't read this genre, but it was interesting. However, it is an unfinished chapter book that forces you to buy more if you want to know what's going on, and how things turn out for Mae. The story was a four star read, but I gave it three because of errors and the unfinished ending. I buy a lot of series books, but each one is a stand-alone.

Suspenseful, and thrilling, You feel like you know each character personally and you become very involved in the story.. Eagerly awaiting book no two of three. This story would make an excellent movie.
Wonderful story very in depth. Pulls you right in. I never wanted it to end. Author is very articulate. Characters perfect.
The teasing start of the story leaves you wondering who to root for, but you quickly catch on to all the great narrative strings. Gripping story that thrusts you right into the action.
Basically so weird that I gave up and couldn't even finish reading it. Started out and grabbed my attention but then it went downhill.
I couldn't put this book down. As with all of Derrick Hibbard's books, you're caught up in a very compelling plot from the first paragraph. This is not my typical genre, so I was surprised at how hard I got pulled into the Snow Swept series. Fast pace, cerebral development, intriguing characters--a wild ride...Can't wait to start #2 in the series, Snow Falling.
Very different kind of book from what I read,but I must say I really enjoyed with 5 stars but not at the end as we are left with too many ??? and have to get the next book,which I hate.If I really like a book I will go further into the series but I like to have a better ending in each book.Hope the next book is as exciting as this one was and you answer a lots of questions.
There's a few things this author does brilliantly that are worth mentioning. Most especially, I have to say, it takes a talented writer to write something like this and an intelligent reader to appreciate it. Hibbard starts the story in medias res. That is to say, right in the heart of the story. There's no build up. There's no info dumps. If you ant a story that holds your hands and explains things to you that are already reality to these characters, this is not the story for you. If you appreciate the genius of real characters and an exciting plot, then you've found a winner with this one. With how amazing the author managed to do on book 1, I'm really excited to see how things continue in the next installment!
